The program has been designed as common software for surveillance hybrid platforms functioning concurrently with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same form and controls on the local and remote pcs. Users see MPEG-4 coded video and have complete control of the program through network that surveillance server can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular composition significantly boosts reliability because all components work as independent programs. If one module fails, other components go on working. For instance if the `capture` component freezes, `watchdog` starts over it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` part. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be constant or it can be triggered by activity, human face recognition, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote pc using Web interface. The software makes synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple webcams at the same time. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
