Advanced Excel 2000 Password Recovery (or AE2000PR for short) is a program to recovering the lost or forgotten passwords to the documents created in all versions of Microsoft Excel: 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 (Excel 95) and Excel 2000. Most passwords can be recovered instantly. 'Password to open' for Excel 97 and Excel 2000, however, requires time-consuming brute-force and dictionary attacks; in AE2000PR they're effectively optimized for speed: about five million passwords per minute (but please don't expect to recover long passwords, i.e. 8 characters or more, in a reasonable time).
