Pioneer is a web browser that creates, modifies, saves, loads (files on the filesystem), downloads (web pages), and displays content. You load the content of a file or web page and it is displayed in multiple ways in Pioneer. You request additional content for display from a web page. Each web page is part of a Pioneer website and each website belongs to a Pioneer workspace. A workspace contains the files, web pages, and web sites you request.
Pioneer is an off-line reader/viewer and an on-line web browser.
There are multiple ways to view a file or web page in Pioneer. You can view the content as a report, a list, in simple text, XML, HTML, a spreadsheet, or your own custom format. There is no limit to the number of ways you view a file or web page, in Pioneer, except your imagination.
The content of a web page or file you view is contained in a window. A window downloads and displays content every time you submit a web page request. You open a window to submit your request and view the content, close the window when you are finished with the content, move, minimize, and resize the window to see other windows that contain content from other files or web pages you requested. When a window displays the content of a file or web page, you resize, delete, edit, cut, copy, and paste the content as you need. You then modify, print, or save the content that provides the most benefit or value to you.
Pioneer also has advanced navigation that remembers the history of you downloading web pages and loading files. In addition, you have navigation aids that give you a consistent interface for navigating open files, web pages, and finding content. Content you view has visual aids such as tooltips, a details window, row highlighting, context-sensitive help, and user-configurable properties such as font face, size, and color.
You create files to be viewed in Pioneer by using a text editor of choice. You then load the file and view it in Pioneer, in multiple ways.
