Remote Task Manager (RTM) ? un'interfaccia di controllo del sistema che pu? essere avviata su qualsiasi computer remoto che esegua Windows NT, Windows 2000 o Windows XP. Gli amministratori di sistema possono gestire la maggior parte degli aspetti di un computer remoto. L'interfaccia grafica, semplice e intuitiva, ? dotata di schede separate che facilitano la gestione di applicazioni, servizi, processi, eventi, prestazioni e risorse condivise. Grazie a RTM, un amministratore di sistema ? in grado di avviare o arrestare un servizio o una periferica, aggiungere un nuovo servizio o una nuova periferica, gestire la priorit? di esecuzione e i livelli di protezione (permessi, controlli e proprietari). Process Function e Task Manager consentono di terminare o cambiare la priorit? di un processo in esecuzione su un computer remoto. Event Viewer consente di visualizzare in locale gli eventi che si verificano su un computer remoto. Performance Monitor mostra dinamicamente le prestazioni di un computer remoto, visualizzando informazioni quali l'utilizzo del processore e la quantit? di memoria allocata. E' possibile installare in remoto RTM, in modo da consentire agli amministratori di sistema di avviare un servizio su un computer remoto senza spostarsi fisicamente sulla macchina remota. Inoltre, RTM consente di bloccare, spegnere, riavviare un computer remoto o creare su questo nuovi processi.
