With a seamless method of sharing sensitive data, the software uses powerful encryption technology and a server-less authentication model. It supports all primary forms of information sharing: On the hard drive, file server, virtually any kind of PC removable storage media (e.g., CD-R/RW discs, Iomegaâ?˘ Zipâ?˘ and Jazâ?˘ disks, and floppy disks), and optionally through protected email attachments.
SecurDataStor Premium can also protect Web content on media so users can access the content through secure locally hosted Web sessions. When users access the encrypted content on the media, a browser automatically launches and the software decrypts the content on-the-fly.
With the email feature, SecurDataStor Premium protects the information after it has been received. The software also provides automatic notification to the sender of the receipt, use, and location of the information.
The permissions-based rights management feature enables the originator of the information to specify access control rules (e.g., permission to read, write, and copy files) and automatic time expiration. The originator can also restrict information so that it cannot be copied, cut and pasted, or printed.
With SecurDataStor Premium, users can safely share sensitive information across different Microsoft® Windows® operating systems, over different network and firewall technologies, and across different forms of removable storage media. The end result is to extend the protection to other users without requiring them to possess their own copy of the software.
