Shutdown Launcher is a powerful application that replaces the standard Windows shut down dialog, runs programs when Windows shuts down, and starts or stops NT services. It uses wizards to make it easy to perform common tasks like deleting temporary files, backing up directories, running Scandisk, and ejecting CDs at shut down. You can define the criteria each program must meet in order to run, such as run at every single shut down or just at certain types of shutdown or restarts, limit it to running only once a day or once year under certain hardware configurations, and anything in-between. You can also define messages to be displayed either before or after a program runs, with actions to be taken that depend on the user's response.
