WIT è un organizzatore di contenuti (Content Manager) e un generatore di
siti web in Internet o intranet. Permette di creare e di mantenere siti web
con estrema facilità . Semplice e potente WIT vi consente di costruire un
sito in qualche minuto lasciandovi liberi di occuparvi solo dei contenuti.
Comprende un elaboratore di testi WYSIWYG, nonché modelli e stili
fondamentali per l'aspetto grafico dei vari elementi presentati sulle
pagine. Si possono gestire immagini e impaginare album, effettuare
correzioni globali, organizzare in modo gerarchico le idee, creare un
indice analitico grazie ad un modulo integrato che permette anche il
controllo semantico del vocabolario. WIT include inoltre strumenti ad hoc
per gestire bibliografie, glossari e per scrivere del codice HTML di base.
Si puo' copiare e incollare testo, e tabelle, a partire da file preparati
in videoscrittura, o da una pagina web visualizzata da un browser ... etc.
Si possono importare dati da file di testo, Excel o da basi di dati, via
ODBC o per esportazione in formato delimitato. La generazione di un sito
intero a partire dalle pagine si fa con un singolo comando e del pari il
caricamento sul server via FTP. Ad ogni vostra modifica delle pagine è WIT
che si fa carico di mantenere la coerenza fra tutti i legami e la gerarchia
fra le idee, a prescindere dalla profondità delle modifiche e delle
dimensioni del sito. Rigenerare un sito di 1000 pagine richiede meno di un
minuto.
