The software has been designed as universal application for security hybrid platforms working all together with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the similar form and controls on the local and distant pcs. Users see MPEG-4 coded video and have complete control of the program through network that surveillance computer can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular configuration considerably boosts reliability because all parts act as independent applications. If one part freezes, other parts keep on running. For example if the `capture` unit fails, `watchdog` starts over it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` module. The program does `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be turned on by activity, human face recognition, or by timetable. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote server using Web interface. The program does simultaneous video playback for event examination from many webcams concurrently. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
