Das Tool One-click BackUp ermöglicht das Sichern von festgelegten Dateien und Ordnern mit einem Klick mit Hilfe von WinRAR. Dabei unterstützt die Software Backup auf Festplatte, USB-Laufwerken, Disketten und ZIP-Disketten, CD-RW, SMTP und FTP Servers. Au�erdem ist es möglich Backups über das lokale Netzwerk oder Internet zu starten.
Das Programm kann Ihre wichtigen Dateien mit nur einem Klick in eine einzige Datei sichern, die entweder das Format RAR, Zip oder Exe hat. Es können verschiedene Profile erstellt werden, die jeweils andere Daten in eine andere Datei sichern. Beim Auswählen der Dateien können per Drag&Drop ganze Verzeichnisse hinzugefügt werden, die Unterverzeichnisse werden automatisch mit eingeschlossen. Sollte ein Unterverzeichnis nicht zum Sichern erwünscht sein, so kann es auf eine Exclude-Liste gezogen werden und wird bei der Sicherung nicht mit berücksichtigt.
Diese Software ist im Prinzip eine Erweiterung von WinRAR, welches auch zwingend benötigt wird, damit die Software funktioniert. Daher ist der Optionsdialog dem von WinRAR sehr ähnlich, es kann bspw. die Kompressionsrate oder auch das Aufteilen auf mehrere Dateien mit bestimmter Grö�e -zum anschlie�enden Kopieren auf Diskette- ausgewählt werden. Auch die Vergabe eines Passworts ist möglich und das Archiv kann gegen Veränderung geschützt werden.
Nach Erstellung des Archivs kann dieses sofort überprüft werden, damit eventuelle Fehler im Archiv ausgeschlossen werden können.
