Tali operazioni vengono realizzate da Dekart Private Disk senza apprezzabili penalizzazioni delle prestazioni. Quando il disco viene scollegato dal sistema, manualmente oppure all'uscita da Windows, i dati contenuti nei dischi virtuali diventano completamente illegibili ed incomprensibili per il sistema operativo.
