Este programa permite a los usuarios escribir cartas personalizadas usando plantillas de mensajes. De esta manera, si tiene una base de datos de clientes, puede crear una sola plantilla de carta y enviar mensajes personalizados a una completa lista de clientes. Todos los destinatarios recibirán cartas dirigidas solamente a ellos. Después de haber elaborado una lista de distribución, puede regresar a ella posteriormente. Todas las transacciones son guardadas en el archivo de registro. Puede configurar el juego de caracteres para enviar mensajes en formato HTML. El programa es a prueba de tontos y fácil de usar.
También puede usarse para realizar varias otras tareas. Mailing List Express puede manejar múltiples cuentas de correo SMTP. La nueva versión ofrece potentes y cómodas opciones de filtrado para listas de correo así como capacidades de verificación preliminar diseñadas para eliminar direcciones no válidas o no actualizadas.
Es decir, que si tiene una lista de direcciones borradas u otros valores de campos como nombres de compañías, todo lo que debe hacer es presionar la tecla de filtrar y estas direcciones serán eliminadas de la lista de correo. El programa se ejecuta sobre la misma base que el servidor SMTP. Se conecta con el servidor para revisar si las direcciones dadas existen en el servidor. Las direcciones no válidas pueden ser eliminadas de la lista de correo. Al eliminar las direcciones no válidas de su lista de correo, está reduciendo tráfico de red y la carga de canal de su ISP, y simplificando las distribuciones actuales y futuras.
